We study both the ecological determinants that drive cholera transmission seasonality and the potential use of vaccines to mitigate or prevent outbreaks.
We are measuring ecological determinants of cholera transmission in Bangladesh. See our publication “Epidemic and endemic cholera trends over a 33-year period in Bangladesh” in The Journal of Infectious Diseases.
We also use mathematical models to study the potential impact of vaccination and other interventions on cholera outbreaks. See Chao et al 2011 and Longini et al 2007.
