May 27 – June 8: Meaningful Modeling of Epidemiological Data (MMED) Clinic in Muizenberg, South Africa

The Meaningful Modeling of Epidemiological Data (MMED) Clinic will be held May 27 – June 8, 2012 at the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences.

The two-week modeling clinic will underline the use of data in understanding infectious disease dynamics, according to the MMED website.  Post-doctoral students, graduate students and researchers from the United States, Canada and Africa will convene at the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences for a series of discussions, tutorials, computer exercises and group projects.
The modeling clinic will be hosted by the South African Centre for Epidemiological Modeling and Analysis (SACEMA), in collaboration with the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS).
